Microsoft Response Point Discontinues as of August 31, 2010

Word on the street is Microsoft has officially pulled further distribution of its Response Point product line.  Current distributors and dealers were briefed already, and over the next few weeks information should emerge as to how they intend to phase out this product.

Schmooze Featured in TMCnet Company Profile this Month

Peace of Mind Package System Update 2.0.1.0

We’d like to announce a significant system update for the PBXact platform.  Customers subscribed to a Peace of Mind Package (POMPs) will receive the following updates free of charge:

  • Update in the core kernel for newer hardware support.
  • Ability for end users and resellers to add their own extensions with purchasing CALs from our portal.
  • Speech Recognition Upgrade
    Upgrade in speech recognition engine LumenVox to their latest version to help improve background noise and other improvements to speech recognition.
  • Faxing Capabilities
    Availability of our new Inbound and Outbound fax server called XactFax.  Now users can send and receive faxes right through their phone systems Web Interface..—Requires additional purchase of fax license.
  • XactView Upgrades
    Feature improvements around call centers and the installation of an automated upgrades process for all XactView clients to automatically update when the XactView server gets updated.
  • Backup Module Enhancements
    Users can setup one or more backup schedules and pick which parts of the phone system they want backed up.  You can also setup to have the backup automatically sent to a FTP server of your choice or have it email you the backup file.
  • Full Chat Support
    Complete chat support built into every PBXact system. Now you won’t be dependent on using the XactView client for chatting.  Simply connect any XMPP compliant chat client to your PBXact and be able to chat with all users using XactView or other chat clients.
  • Outbound Email Server Setup
    Now you can manage your outbound email relay server setting right inside the admin GUI manager.  You can simply define the IP address of your email server and if need be a username and password to have all outbound emails relayed to.
  • Q-Xact Reports
    We have completely rewritten our queue reports for all call center applications to give more control over the data in the reports and the ability to create templates of which reports and data should be displayed for each template.
  • Plus many additional minor bug fixes.
